Firstly, I would like to thank you all for your support throughout these challenging times.
I would like to assure you that I will be doing everything I can to ensure your safety during salon visits. In addition to the usual high standard of hygiene, the following measures have been put in place to keep us all extra safe.
The salon will continue to operate on an appointment only basis and will be unable to take walk-in clients. Appointments must be booked online, over the phone or by email, as I will be unable to come to the door if I am with a client. Only clients with confirmed appointments will be allowed to enter the salon, this is to minimise the number of people I come into contact with.
Following the latest guidance, patch tests are recommended for all clients including those who have had a tint/LVL at The Beauty Spot before. This is because if you have received the vaccination, it is classed as a change in your Medical History, and also because Covid-19 can cause the skin to become more sensitive. Whilst I understand that making an extra trip to the salon can be an inconvenience, for your safety I strongly recommend another patch test before treatment.
During your visit
Firstly, I kindly ask that all clients follow the government guidelines on self-isolation and personal hygiene to avoid spreading or catching the virus. Please let me know if you or anyone in your household have been feeling unwell at all in the last 14 days, please do not come to the salon for your appointment. Appointments will be rescheduled for a later date.
To minimise the number of surfaces being touched please attend your appointment alone. Wherever possible there will be a 'one out, one in' procedure to minimise the number of people in the salon at any one time.
On arrival, please wash your hands or use the hand sanitiser provided. Please leave coats on the coat stand in reception and avoid bringing excessive belongings. You may be required to complete a health questionnaire.
All reading material has been removed from the salon, do feel free to bring your own for longer appointments.
Whilst in reception, please refrain from touching products that you do not intend to purchase. Contactless card payments are preferred, and the card machine will be sanitised between uses.
Salon Hygiene Measures
For your safety I will:
Clean touch points such as door handles between clients, and implement extra daily cleaning measures, with increased time between appointments to allow for thorough cleaning.
Practice hand washing procedures in line with NHS guidelines.
Freshly sterilise all metal equipment, sanitise plastic equipment and use disposables wherever possible.
Launder uniform and towels with anti-bacterial detergent and/or at 60C.
Carry out treatments safely in line with government guidelines. Risk assessments have also been completed.
To ensure the safety of clients and myself, I will be wearing PPE which will either be disinfected or disposed of between appointments. Protective screens may also be used at the nail desk. From 19th July, face coverings will no longer be mandatory in the salon, however, due to the close contact nature of the industry, clients are encouraged to continue wearing them during treatments.
Finally, I will continue to follow the latest government guidelines, and keep clients updated as things progress. I hope that you will feel reassured about your safety and wellbeing on your next visit to the salon. If you do have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
Again, a huge thank you for your continued support, and I look forward to seeing you soon!
