About Us
Your Therapist
Laura has over ten years experience in the beauty industry. She started her beauty career working in a spa in York, then spent over several years working in a busy beauty salon in the local area, before deciding to open her own salon in Pocklington.
During her beauty career, Laura has enjoyed going on various training courses to keep her skills up to date, and has gained qualifications such as a diploma in Advanced Waxing and a degree in Sports Therapy.
Laura enjoys all aspects of her job, her favourite treatments to do are Mary Cohr facials and massage, with Deep Tissue massage being her speciality.

Relaxing Environment
A luxurious environment for you to get away from daily stresses and make you feel relaxed. Choose from a variety of treatments from pampering pedicures, massages and facials, to essential brows and waxing.
To get the most out of your treatment at The Beauty Spot, please be aware there is a maximum time limit of 2 hours for parking on Market Street or Pavement. We recommend using one of the free car parks in Pocklington.
Our Brands
Mary Cohr
We are proud to be a registered Mary Cohr skincare salon. The sister brand to French skincare brand Guinot, Mary Cohr was created in 1973, and uses aromatherapy essential oils, plant extracts and Biotechnology to deliver exceptional results; the formulas are Paraben free and the plant extracts are all natural. Many of the products available for purchase are in glass jars so are more easily recycled than plastics. Mary Cohr does not test on animals.
Million Dollar
A British brand with clinically proven products and treatments. Million Dollar brings luxury to Advanced Skincare Treatments. A number of products in the range are Vegan friendly.
CND
For our nail treatments we use CND Vinylux weekly polish and Shellac gel polish, and we have a wide range of colours to choose from! We also stock CND’s multi-award-winning cuticle oil and Daily Keratin Treatment. Vegan friendly.
Sienna X
For our tanning treatments we use the amazing Sienna X manual tan. It has won numerous awards and gives you a gorgeous, natural looking glow. All our professional and retail Sienna X products are Cruelty free, Vegan friendly, Gluten free and Paraben free.
Sienna X is also our chosen luxury wax brand for intimate waxing. We use the gorgeous peppermint scented hot wax for a more comfortable waxing experience.
Dermalux
We use Dermalux for our LED Phototherapy facials. Dermalux is the Five-time Winner of Best Treatment at The Aesthetics Awards and were also voted Best UK Manufacturer 2018. We love Dermalux LED Phototherapy as it’s a results-driven, non-invasive and effective treatment for a variety of skin conditions.
Nouveau Lashes
For our Lash Lift, we use the famous LVL by Nouveau Lashes. Nouveau are dedicated to being a Cruelty free brand, and use ingredients which enhance lash health and strength, whilst minimising the risk of damage to your eyelashes.
Cuccio
These luxury, professional products are found in salons and spas worldwide.. The Cuccio brand is used in luxury manicures, luxury pedicures and body treatments. The scents and textures of these products are amazing.
SOAK BOX England
A collection of home fragrances which contain no chemicals or harsh ingredients, just essential oils and other natural ingredients. The range is vegan and not tested on animals. SOAK BOX England products come in contemporary packaging and look great in any room.

If you are looking for planet friendly beauty, then look no further. Neal's Yard offers a range of natural and organic products which are never tested on animals, many of which are vegan friendly.
